We use an emergency notification service called BNN, which provides alerts about fires and other emergency incidents throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
These alerts allow us to become aware of a fire quickly so that our team can be prepared to respond when property owners need emergency restoration assistance.
terms and coverage of your policy.
As an independent fire and water restoration company, we work for you, the property owner. Our responsibility is to carefully inspect the property, document the damage, identify the restoration work that is necessary, and prepare detailed information supporting the work required to restore the property.
Our goal is to make sure that legitimate fire, smoke, soot, and water damage is properly identified and documented so that necessary restoration work is not overlooked during the insurance claim process.
We communicate and coordinate with the insurance company when necessary, but our restoration work is performed on behalf of the homeowner or business owner.
One of the first steps is documenting and estimating the restoration work required at the property.
Whenever possible, we coordinate our estimator's visit with the initial insurance inspection. After the inspection, our estimator carefully measures the affected areas of the property.
The estimator uses professional measuring equipment, including laser measuring technology, to obtain accurate room dimensions and document affected areas.
Those measurements, together with photographs, damage documentation, required restoration procedures, materials, labor, and other relevant information, are used to prepare a detailed restoration estimate.
We use Xactimate, an estimating platform widely used throughout the property insurance and restoration industries.
Using an industry-standard estimating system helps create a detailed and consistent estimate that can be reviewed by the insurance adjuster.
The insurance company ultimately determines coverage and the amount it will approve under the homeowner's or business owner's insurance policy. Our responsibility is to provide accurate measurements, documentation, photographs, and restoration estimates supporting the work that is necessary.
Yes. Our primary responsibility is the fire and water mitigation and restoration work necessary to make the affected property clean, dry, safe, and ready for reconstruction.
If you already have a licensed contractor you trust, you are free to use that contractor for the reconstruction phase.
If you do not have a contractor, we can introduce you to a contractor that we know and trust.
If you are interested, we can arrange a meeting at the contractor's office. During that meeting, the contractor can explain the reconstruction process, show you examples of previous projects and before-and-after photographs, and provide applicable licensing and business information.
You can then speak directly with the contractor, ask questions, review their qualifications, and decide whether they are the right company for your project.
The final decision is always yours.
Our objective is to make the transition from emergency restoration to reconstruction as smooth as possible so that you have a clear path toward getting your home or business back to normal.
Don't assume that everything has to be thrown away. Many clothing and textile items affected by smoke, soot, ash, and fire odors can potentially be professionally cleaned and restored.
One of the advantages of working with Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration is that we own and operate our own dry-cleaning service. This allows us to take care of your affected clothing and other cleanable textiles as part of the restoration process.
Our team can carefully identify, document, pack, and remove affected items from the property. These may include:
Your belongings are then taken to our own dry-cleaning facility, where they can be professionally cleaned and treated for smoke, soot, and fire-related odors.
Once the cleaning process is completed, the items can be carefully packed and stored until your home or business is ready for them to be returned.
Because Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration operates its own dry-cleaning service, you don't have to search for another company to handle your smoke-damaged clothing and textiles.
We take care of the process from pack-out and cleaning to storage and return.
Our goal is simple: save and restore as many of your belongings as possible and help make a difficult situation easier for you and your family.
First, don't panic. Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration understands that restoring your property is only part of the emergency. We also have to think about you and your family's immediate needs.
If your home is temporarily unlivable because of fire, smoke, water damage, or the restoration work being performed, and your insurance policy does not provide coverage for temporary housing, Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration can provide qualifying clients with a place to stay at our company's expense while the necessary restoration work is being completed.
We don't want you worrying about where you and your family are going to sleep while you are already dealing with the stress of a fire.
Our team will discuss the temporary housing arrangements with you and help coordinate the process so you can concentrate on your family while we concentrate on restoring your property.
From emergency mitigation and caring for your personal belongings to temporary accommodations when applicable, Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration is committed to helping you through the restoration process from beginning to end.
Your personal belongings are an important part of the restoration process. We understand that many of these items may have financial value, but others may have something even more important — personal and sentimental value that cannot simply be replaced.
When necessary, Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration provides a Pack-Out Service. Our team carefully documents, organizes, packs, and removes affected belongings from the property so restoration work can proceed safely.
Items that can be restored are evaluated for the appropriate cleaning and deodorization process. Clothing and qualifying textile items can be handled through our own dry-cleaning service, while other belongings may require specialized cleaning methods.
Items that are too severely damaged to be restored can be documented as part of the loss for review during the insurance claim process.
Your cleaned and restored belongings can then be safely stored while the property is undergoing restoration and reconstruction.
When your home or business is ready, the belongings can be returned through the Pack-Back process.
Phoenix Fire & Water Restoration is there from the initial emergency cleanup through the care of your belongings — helping you protect what can be saved and move toward getting your property and your life back to normal.
Phoenix Fire Water Restoration is ready to assist you through every phase of your property recovery.
